how it started
During my childhood, I spent countless hours at my Great Grandmother, Nana's, house, surrounded by a treasure trove of photos, albums, school yearbook pictures, and newspaper clippings. Each visit was a journey through time as I delved into these collections. Every photo held its own story, invoking various emotions and memories from Nana. My most cherished memories the times I watched her relive those moments captured in the images. I witnessed her dance to the tunes of her and her sisters down to the "juke joint," saw her eyes light up with affection as she gazed at photos of my Great Grandfather, and shared hearty laughter over the amusing anecdotes behind many of the pictures.
In my heart, I carry the legacy, the stories, and the memories these photographs encapsulate. The family history preserved in those images ignited a passion within me, inspiring my journey to become a photographer.
